용량성 결합 전극을 이용한 일상 생활 간 무구속 생체 신호 모니터링

무구속 심전도 측정 의자                                                                                                       A chair for unconstrained ECG measurement

용량성 결합 심전도 전극을 의자에 적용하여 일상생활 중에 옷을 입고 의자에서 생활하는 과정에서 심전도를 측정할 수 있는 무구속 심전도 측정 의자 시스템을 개발하였다. 2개의 용량성 전극을 의자의 등받침에 장치하고 용량성 접지시트를 의자의 바닥에 장치하였다. 심전도는 와이셔츠, 면 T셔츠, 양복, 면바지를 입은 상태에서도 측정되었다.

A chair system for unconstrained ECG measurement was developed. Two capacitive coupled ECG electrodes were attached to the back of the chair and a capacitive conductive sheet that was connected to the system’s ground was placed under the thighs in the seat of the chair. ECG could be measured while wearing dress shirt, cotton T shirt, business suit, or cotton jeans.

변좌에 용량성 전극을 설치하여 변좌에 앉아 있는 동안 허벅지로부터 심전도 신호를 측정하는 시스템을 개발하였다.

An unconstrained ECG monitoring system with capacitive coupled electrodes installed on the toilet seat was developed. ECG was measured through both thighs.

용량성 결합 심전도 전극을 이용하여 정상적으로 옷을 입고 잠을 자는 침대에서 심전도를 측정하는 기술을 개발하였다. 침대의 매트 위에 8개의 용량성 전극과 접지를 위한 전도성 시트를 장치한 후 그 위에 일반 침대 커버를 덮은 후 잠옷을 입은 사람이 누워있는 동안 심전도가 측정되었다.

An unconstrained ECG monitoring system on a bed during sleep was developed. Eight capacitive coupled electrodes were fixed on the upper part of a mattress and a conductive sheet that was connected to the system’s ground was placed on the lower part of the mattress. ECG was measured while a person wearing cotton pajama lay on the mattress cover. 
 

컴퓨터 마우스를 이용한 혈압 추정

컴퓨터 마우스에 LED와 광센서를 장착하여 혈관용적파를 측정하고, 의자에 장착한 용량성 전극으로부터 측정한 심전도를 측정하였다. 두 신호를 통해 펄스도달시간을 도출하여 혈압을 무자각적으로 추정하였다.

Photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal was measured from IR LED and photo diode installed on a computer mouse and ECG was measured from capacitive coupled ECG electrode attached on the back of the chair. Blood pressure was estimated from pulse arrival time (PAT) that was calculated using PPG and ECG.

 Wearable Technologies

 캐패시티브 커플링을 이용해 심전도(ECG)를 측정하는 기술을 피부와의 직접 첩촉 없이 측정하는 잘 알려진 방법이다. 본 연구실에서는 피부와의 직접접촉없이 심전도를 측정하기 위해 벨트 형태의 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 유연한 능동 전극, driven-right-leg 전극, 신호 처리와 신호 측정용 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 유연한 능동 전극은 접촉면을 넓게 해주는 장점이 있으며 딱딱하고 평평한 전극에 비해서 신호대잡음비를 증가시켜주는 장점이 있다. 측정된 심전도 신호는 블루투스를 통해 무선으로 컴퓨터로 전송된다. 이 시스템을 이용하여 이동중 심전도 측정을 하기 위한 검증을 하기 위해 러닝머신에서 각각 5Km/h 와 7Km/h로 달렸을 때 심전도 신호를 측정하였다. 결과적으로 사용자가 운동없이 가만히 있는 상태에서는 심전도 신호가 개발된 벨트시스템을 통해서 안정적으로 측정되는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 우리의 시스템은 무선으로 접촉없이 심전도를 측정 할 수 있으므로 long-term 모니터링에 적합하다.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement using capacitive coupled electrode is a well-known method to get the ECG signal without direct skin-contact. In our group, the belt-type system which measures ECG without direct skin-contact is designed and tested. The system consists of developed flexible active electrode (FAE), a driven-right-leg electrode and a module for signal processing and data acquisition. The FAE has the merit of enlarging contact area. It helps to increase signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to rigid and flat electrode. The measured ECG data are transmitted to a laptop computer using a Bluetooth device. The feasibility of applying the developed system to ambulatory ECG monitoring was validated by measuring ECG data during a treadmill exercise at the speed of 5km/h and 7km/h. As a result, ECG obtained from the developed wearable belt-type system was stable if a person was in a state without excessive motion. Our system is wireless and capable of non-contact ECG measurement so that it is adequate for long-term ECG monitoring.
